Symposium Introduction
上科大生物医学工程青年学者论坛由上海科技大学生物医学工程学院主办，是学院重要的高水平人才交流论坛。论坛旨在为海内外优秀青年学者提供学术交流平台，围绕生物医学工程相关学科前沿技术、最新学术成果和产业前景进行深入探讨，更好服务国家重大战略需求。青年学者论坛也为有意加盟我院的优秀学者提供交流平台。学院期待与优秀学者们共同推进全国顶尖、世界一流的生物医学工程学科建设。
ShanghaiTech BME Symposium for Young Investigators is hosted by the School of Biomedical Engineering at ShanghaiTech University in Shanghai, China. The symposium aims to provide an academic exchange platform for outstanding young investigators both domestically and internationally and to promote in-depth communication on cutting-edge BME research, recent scientific breakthroughs, as well as prospects of technological translation. ShanghaiTech BME looks forward to working with outstanding young scholars to build up a world-class BME school.

Application Requirements
在海内外知名大学或科研机构获得博士学位，有良好的学术背景和学术发展潜力，有3年以上博士后研究经历或相关工作经历者优先。
Must hold a PhD degree. Candidates with at least three years of post-doctoral or relevant research experience in world-class universities or research institutions are preferred.

Academic Areas
生物医学工程等相关交叉学科领域，包括但不限于以下方向：
医学影像 (如 MRI、CT、PET、放射治疗、超声成像、光学成像等)
智能医学 (如人工智能、医学大数据、医疗元宇宙、脑科学与脑疾病等)
智慧仪器 (如可穿戴设备、医疗机器人、康复仪器等)
Candidates from all sub-areas of Biomedical Engineering shall be considered.
Our recruitment focuses on, but is not limited to, the following areas:
Medical Imaging (MRI, CT, PET, Radiotherapy, Ultrasound Imaging, Optical Imaging, etc.)
Intelligent Medicine (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Medical Metaverse, Brain Sciences and Brain Diseases, etc.)
Smart Biomedical Devices (Wearable Devices, Medical Robotics, Rehabilitation Equipments, etc.)

上海科技大学生物医学工程学院 (生医工学院) 于2020年10月正式成立，创始院长由医学影像人工智能领域国际知名专家沈定刚教授担任。学院立足国家与地方重大战略需求，建设多学科交叉融合的生物医学工程创新平台，致力于产生国际公认的原创成果并形成科创转化临床应用。生医工学院以建设全国顶尖、世界一流的精致学科为目标，培育具有学校特色和国际影响力的交叉学科。在学院发展初期重点建设智能医学、医学影像、智慧仪器等学科方向，对接产学研医在生物医学工程专业的人才需求，培养创新型、复合型、国际化高端人才，引进和培育高水平国际化师资队伍，开展交叉融合、创新研究，为国家、上海发展战略及社会经济发展服务。
学院常任教授100%毕业于或曾就职于海外/境外一流高校，不少教授来自哈佛大学、加州理工学院、北卡大学教堂山分校、加州大学洛杉矶分校、加州大学旧金山分校等世界一流大学。师资介绍详情请见学院官网：

The School of Biomedical Engineering at ShanghaiTech University was established in October 2020, and the founding dean is Professor Dinggang Shen, a well-known international expert in the field of medical image analysis and artificial intelligence for medicine. The BME School is based on the major strategic needs of the country and the local area and is committed to building a cross-disciplinary innovative platform for biomedical engineering. The BME School targets world-class biomedical engineering research and education. Its academic areas focus on Intelligent Medicine, Medical Imaging and Smart Biomedical Devices. By engaging in worldwide cooperation, the BME School is determined to become a world-renowned research hub. Meanwhile, we will create innovative services to help establish connections between academic research and industrial/clinical applications, such that our efforts will eventually contribute to the community, the city of Shanghai, the whole country, and all mankind.
100% of the professors in the BME School graduated from or worked in first-class overseas universities such as Harvard University, California Institute of Technology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UCLA and UCSF.
