个人简历:

Dr. Ze Xiong is an Assistant Professor and Director of Wireless and Smart Bio-electronics (WiSe) Lab in the School of Biomedical Engineering at ShanghaiTech University. Dr. Xiong earned his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from The University of Hong Kong in 2017, Advisor: Prof. Jinyao Tang (Croucher Senior Research Fellow). After that, he worked as a Research Fellow at National University of Singapore (affiliated with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The N.1 Institute for Health, Institute for Health Innovation & Technology, and Department of Biomedical Engineering) from 2018 to 2022, Collaborative PIs: Prof. John S. Ho, Prof. Benjamin C. K. Tee, and Prof. Chwee Teck Lim (AIMBE Fellow, IAMBE Fellow, NAI Fellow, SNAS Fellow, and SAEng Fellow).

Dr. Xiong’s research focuses on the development and application of wireless and smart bioelectronics to endow diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with digital intelligence. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal papers in Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Materials,Nature Nanotechnology, Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Accounts of Chemical Research etc., which were highlighted by media like Reuters, Scientific American, AAAS, AIChE, People's Daily, XinhuaNet, and ChinaDaily etc. He held 5 patents (2 PCT and 1 US patents) and contributed 1 book chapter. He extensively collaborated with researchers, clinicians, and companies to translate his technologies from bench to bedside. He served as the leading topic editor, with collaborators from MIT and other top Universities, for special issues of Frontiers in Robotics and AI and Micromachines.

实验室介绍:

Welcome to the Wireless and Smart Bio-electronics (WiSe) Lab! We are an interdisciplinary lab that seeks to develop bioelectronic tools and stimulus-driven materials to address the scientific and technical challenges faced by personal and clinical healthcare. Our current research focuses on advanced stimulus-driven materials for bio-electronic signal communication and multimodal devices for sensing and stimulation. We integrate these technologies in bioelectronic systems to endow healthcare procedures with digital intelligence.

Our team is working on the following research directions:

  • Stimulus-Driven Materials

  • Bio-electronics Interfaces

  • Medical Flexible Electronics

  • Wireless Micro/Nano-Robotics

  • Wireless Theragnostic Systems

We are looking for graduate students, postdoc, research assistant, technician, and staff scientist to join us. Please contact Dr. Xiong (xiongze@shanghaitech.edu.cn) for more information. We welcome talents with background in the following area: Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Biology, Medicine, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials, Computer Science, and other related fields.
